Before donating blood, people are most apprehensive of the safety measures taken (disposible needles used or not etc.) So the banner for attracting people must have in big and bold letters and should assure that donating blood in your camp is completely safe.
Social Media is undoubtedly the most inexpensive way of advertising so the page of your event must have date and place of camp clearly written.
Also, you can post facts regarding blood donation at regular intervals to keep people interested. Eg.
1. The blood you donate gives someone another chance at life. One day that someone may be a close relative, a friend, a loved one—or even you.
2. A life may depend on a gesture from you, a bottle of Blood.
3. To give blood you need neither extra strength nor extra food, and you will save a life.
4. Do you feel you don’t have much to offer? You have the most precious resource of all: the ability to save a life by donating blood! Help share this invaluable gift with someone in need.
5. Blood Donation will cost you nothing but it will save a life!

You should also upload a map to reach the camp from different parts of city.
If possible you can organise simple contests on the facebook page (asking GK questions like how many hours of sleep is required before one can donate blood) and in prize give out metro/bus tickets or merchandise of the event.
Other contests like uploading a selfie with an attractive blood donation quote as a caption and the winner gets some cool event merchandise can also be organised.
Also, you can take permession and post it on the facebook walls of your city's colleges.
Make little hand made posters and photocopy them and paste them at various joints like metro stations, cafes (most cafe owners wont charge for it as it is a social event).
Also you can tie up with little cafes and eating joints whom you can publicise at your event and you can issue a 3-5% discount coupon at the camp for that cafe.
At the camp special emphasis must be given so that the bed sheets are squeaky clean and if possible also use a disposable sheet on it, I know some people who will never lie on a bed sheet used by a random stranger. If you want to earn word of mouth goodwill and make them your permanent blood donators you will have to these
Also, be a good host and give the blood donators free packaged fruit juice cans and/or biscuits after they have donated blood.
All the best!
