Lactobacillus it is a bacterium that is used in the preparation of food products such as curd, yoghurt. Yoghurt or curd can be prepared at home with the help of Lactobacillus. Under favourable conditions, Lactobacillus bacteria present in milk multiply. They act on the sugars present in milk and change them to acid. This result in the formation of curd, which has a sour taste.
