I sit by the window and think of all that I have seen,
From the meadows to the spring, of all the beauty that has been
I’m mesmerized by the flowers, ranging from light to dark,
Carrying the fragrance of the heaven, inside the bark….
People condemn it to be a myth, but, for me, it is a fairy tale.
In a land of gossamers blooming, where I discuss with him all my unbosoming,
However conceited shall I be, my dad is there to see….
When I stop my toes at the voices of the door, he says, “It isn’t like ever before..”
There were things I could never see, and he lent me his hand,
I don’t know how the time flee, and I was alone in the sand.
I was swindling around, from place to place, from time to time, and declared it to be a tragedy.
Then I went to Jesus, and he showed me a spring that I shall ever see.
I could hear the woes of returning voices, and the hearings of the unworthy vices.
I remembered how I panged, each doorbell I ranged,
I was alone, I was thinking of stupid, hurtful things
There I got you dad, who stood there holding my arms, and taught me not to fling.
I trifled down the streets, went under the feets,
I rifled down the enemies, and I bent down at ease.
I remembered what you taught me, and also how you brought me,
You were my sky, because of whom I have risen so high…
Still there are miles to go, and miles to come,
It’s not facile, but that song I hum,
“The storm would end when the sun would shine,
And I’ll never stop until everything is fine.
When the grass is bright with the raindrops, and the thieves are caught by the cops,
You wake me up, to climb the day, and you say, “Come on. You have much of today”.
The feeling when I wake up, when I don’t wanna leave the bed,
And then when I brush up, and everything is in my head.
I know you were never like mum, who beated me like a drum.
You helped me grow, and took me out of the furrow.
You helped me look, and said that the world is a book.
You helped me feel, and were always there with a medicine to heal….
It could only be my dad, who taught me to rejoice,
And think of earth as a choice, you inspired me to shine like a sun,
And said that I also would have to burn. I yearned to know more….
But he said, “The moment you get this, there would be nothing left to explore”.
My dad is a star, who shines so bright,
That it reaches the topmost height.
He is a mystery unsolved, but he says that, “There is nothing, which cannot be resolved”.
I sit by the window and think of all that I have been,
And all the reminiscence, that is more to be seen.
After every stormy night, there’s always a glorious morning….
you give me the right to fly
day and night u work hard
without a single anger in your heart
u give me life
u make me what am i
you are the ocean of love
where i fly
o dad i love love u
