we all know that insectivorous plants grow in nitrogen deficient soil if we enrich the soil with nitrogen fertilizers will the plant alter their mode of nutrition and stop feeding up on insects ? discuss .

No because they don't have that system to take in nitrate directly from the soil they will not take nitrate from the soil but will feed on insect to fulfill their need of nitrogen.

The habits that a plant or an living organism develops is the predisposition of thousand or lacs of years which it has occupied or arrived in it due to the course of evolution.Providing nutrient rich or nitrogen rich soil to the Pitcher plant will meet its nitrogen demands but it will not stop eating insects call the ability to meet its nitrogen deficit by killing insects and eating them has been there in the plant from lacks of years and it cannot be changed by practicing and putting nutrient rich soil.
