We all know that weight of a substance or gravity pulls objects in downward direction, that is why lifting heavy objects is tough, but why pushing a heavy object to make it slide requires so much force?

Explanation:

Dear student

When we push a body down the incline the gravitational force (g) has a component in downward direction which develops an acceleration of the body in downward direction due to which it helps a body to move down easily

While lifting a body we have to do work against the gravitational pull so it is more difficult
