In the given figure, the C feeds directly on D which is the producer as it is absorbing light energy from the Sun.

Hence, C is the primary consumer, B is the secondary consumer as it feeds on the primary consumer C.

A are decomposers, i.e. bacteria and fungi which decompose B, C and D in the food chain.
