We are all aware of the current scenario in the world. We are also aware of the shortage
of our daily needs and how judiciously we are supposed to use them. If we just ponder
over the current situation we will realize a number of things we were told to do a couple
of days back which we used to overhear, but realize that we were told to do those things
for a reason….. Think about them????
Suppose you are in your bedroom and lights, fan and television in your drawing room are all
switched on. What you do in such a situation? And why?

(i) The world is in danger of facing a severe water shortage in the coming future because:

1. The overexploitation of underground water has resulted in the lowering of water table.

2. The increase in population has led to water scarcity.

The government should encourage building of small dams, tanks and other reservoirs for collecting water. This will not only meet the water demand of the people without harming the environment but also recharge the ground water level
