We are lucky that ozone is not stable near earth because ozone is poisonous gas. It can cause cataract and cancer.

if ozone is O3 then it means that it is made up of three atoms of oxygen
but O3 is poisnous it does not matter that it is made up of oxygen
when a single O atom react with O2 molecule then ozone is formed
