We used to calculate heat evolved for neutralization of 1000 ml of 1 M acid by mono acidic base of 1000 ml of 1 M .

  • 1 M of acid furnish 1 mole of H+ ions .
  • 1 M of mono acidic base 1 mole of OH- ions .
  • 1 M of H+ ions and  1 M of OH- ions produce 1 M of water .
  • It is a standard set to calculate heat evolved during neutralization .
