We came across several examples of rational numbers in the form p/q , where p and q are integers with no common factors other than 1 and having terminating decimal representation . Can you guess what property q must satisfy ? Explain .

q must not be zero. If q is zero then the result of the fraction will become undefined or not possible. Thus q cannot be zero
