We can cut an apple easily with a sharp knife as compared to a blunt knife.Explain why?

sharp knife and it's tip has a small surface area as compared to blunt knife which has a bigger surface area so, so the force applied by blunt knife will act on large surface area so the pressure will Decrease but force applied by sharp knife act on small surface area and that's y it cuts through it easily as we know less the surface area more will the pressure acting on body.
