We can easily charge non-metals like rubber, woollen clothes, plastics, etc. whereas we cannot charge a copper rod by rubbing easily. Why?

this is because copper rod is a metal. and when we will try to rub it with any object transfer of charge would take place but the charges will be transferred to the earth. And the neutral object will not get charged.
