we can easily move our hand in air because interparticle space of air is too much then solid. we can not break interparticle force of solid
with our hand.

Is is because air is gas in nature and its molecules are not tightly packed and also air doesn't has a shape it is shapeless and it is also not brittle so it can move from one place to another easily when you move your hand but in case of solids the molecules are very tightly packed and solids are also brittle so they don't want to change their shape so when you hit a wooden block with tour hands it becomes very difficult for your hand to pass through it.
