we can get the smell of perfume sitting several metres away. why? ​

When perfume is released it quickly changes into vapour. The kinetic energy of gas molecules is high & the rate of diffusion is high. Hence we can smell the perfume sitting several metres away.

THIS IS BECAUSE THE PERFUME BEING WATER VAPOUR HAS HIGH KINETIC ENERGY AND ALSO HAS HIGH DIFFUSION RATE.THIS IS THE REASON WHY PERFUME GET EASILY DIFFUSE AND WE CAN SMELL IT SITTING SEVERAL METERS AWAY.
