"sound" is what we perceive when our ears detect differences in the pressure of a medium surrounding us (air, water, etc.). A "sound" wave in air is exactly the same thing as a "pressure" wave.
It produces wavelength,by producing vibration in the smallest to smallest particles which vibrates our eardrums which makes us the sound hearable.Unlike light it does not produce electric and electromagnetic field wave so from which we see it.
It is possible to see sound
Unfortunately the person who is suffering from synaesthesia migh see it.The reason for it is also given is that it is also said because of the neural crossovers in our brains
