Yes, I agree with this statement as we can increase crop production by using more manure and fertilizers.This certainly applies to developing countries to greater extent than to developed countries.

Most of the farmers in developing countries are now using seed of high yielding crop varieties but the high yield potential of crops is not being achieved due to several environmental factors , which includes provision of insufficient plant nutrients. fertilizer s and manures however may not be added blindly.Soil testing to determine the type and extent of nutrients deficiency is the best guide. Moreover it should be ensured that other environmental condition are not limiting factors to be benefited from addition of manures and fertilizers.
