We can move our hands in air and water but not in solid ice .why​

Hence, we can move our hand in air. However we cannot move our hand in a solid block because there are strong forces of attractions between particles in a solid and there is no empty space between them.

air is the characteristics of gaseous..it can move freely and their molecules of air have least force of attraction...on the other hand in solid it's can't move freely because their molecules of solid ice is tightly packed ... that's why we can move our hands in air and water but not in solid ice
