Essentially the reason is the joint structure. When you extend your lower arm to the maximum of the elbow joint the olecranon on the end of the Ulna contacts the Medial Epicondyle on the end of the humerus and prevents further rotation. To rotate the lower arm further would result in the dislocation of the trochlea from the semilunar notch and tearing of the joint ligaments accompanied by a loud noise that others would recognize as you screaming your head off

vishwasv834: No this is because the structue and the flexibility of one's body.....many people have maximum flexibility allowingthem to bend every bone which normal can't!!!
prisha1809: we are talking about backward movement not maximum movement
prisha1809: nobody can move their hinge joints backwards
vishwasv834: check out in google bub,it will show you that a man in phillipins got tallent succeded in such unbelievable movements

Because it is hinge joint not a ball and socket joint, it allows a restricted movement of the bones not full movement like our ball and socket joint like hip. It works like a normal hinge in our doors which can not go backwards as our joint does not allow backward movement.

Hope the answer helped. Please mark it as the brainliest answer.
