  • Experience of life and qualifications we earn and do not make any change in the genes of the individual. Changes made in the gene are only passed on from one generation to the next. These qualities are required by an individual in his life, are called acquired traits which cannot be passed on to future progeny. For example, if a person read the book on birds, the knowledge he earns by reading the book does not make any changes in his genes. Hence, this knowledge will not get automatically transmitted to his next generation.
