As we know that the air is the mixture of gases, dust and smoke particles, water vapor and  other small suspended particles that cannot be seen through naked eyes. But there are particle that acts as an stimulus (a thing or event that evokes a specific functional reaction in an organ or tissue.) that evokes our sensory organs and can be felt by them.

Explanation:

For understanding this, lets take a glass of water and add some sugar in it.When we will compare the sugar water with normal water, we will see no difference in them but when we will taste them, we can identify the difference.

Similarly, there are many microscopic particles suspended in the air but it is not possible to see them through naked eyes but we will know that there is something around us by feeling them.
