We cannot talk to one another on the moon as we do on earth, even though we may be very close. Why?

There is no medium for sound to travel on the moon..On earth,the air acts as a medium for sound to travel..

We know that sound needs a medium to travel and there is no presence of air on the moon...Thus , we are not able to talk to each other...
