cause meiosis is reductional as well as equational division (meiosis 1- reductional , meiosis 2-equational).Meiosis takes place only in diplod cells to give rise haploid ,in meiosis 1 reduction of chromosomes number takes place where as in meiosis 2 reduction of DNA takes place so it leads single set of chromosomes ,dna content in each haploid cell (gamete)
