we come to know of what is being cooked in the kitchen reach us even entering there , by the smell that reaches our nostriles. how does this smell reach us?

the particles get diffused in the air rapidly and so we get the odour of food reaches our nostrils faster..

Every matter consists of particles.Gases have more intermolecular spaces.so as the smell of the food travels through gases,the particles move from place to place as particles can move continuously
