we do not send any pain when we clip our nails or cut our hair.why?

Our nails and hairs above their root parts are dead cells made up of protein called keratin that's why while cutting them we don't feel any pain but if we pull our hair from roots or try to remove the whole nail attached to our skin then we would surely feel the pain

Nails & Hairs don't have nerve endings. As we know nerves send signals to the brain of pain. That's why we dont feel pain when we clip our nails or cut our hair.
