we don't see any object when in total darkness

Beacuse in total darkness there are no rays of light that are coming from the object to our eyes so we cant see.

because we dont have cone cells,, we have rod cells in our eye which helps to objects in day time but animals or birds which have nocturnal vision , have cone cells..

humans have cone cells but small in no. Thata why we see object in darkness little bit after some time in a dark room
