We feel more heat above the burning candle and very less at sides. Why???

we feel more heat above the burning candle and very less at side because in upper part of the candle complete combustion take place but in side complete combustion doesn't take place so heat is very less through burning in above in candle is more than at side.

We feel more heat above the candle because the heat above the candles is transferred by conduction and so the particles of th air also get heated.While on the either sides of the candle  the heat is transferred through radiation and in radiation there is not need of any mean so the particles of air do not get heated up and so above is more hotter than sides.
