Memory loss can be pretty selective. The above is of course only the most general of views. There are also phenomena such as losing memory of the recent past, but not the distant past (retrograde amnesia).

Dude,
in accident a person's memory is instantly switched off... that is he/she forgets how the accident occured or what happened after that accident....
But in case of language, it is stored in person's memory by default. It can't be forgotten easily...
