we found a book from the school library lying one of the of your class room at the end of the day . we gave it to the class monitor to handed over to class teacher .however he had misplaced it and is unable to return it. what we do and monitor will need to do?and how we will resolve the situation?

according to me the monitor must apologize by being honest and bear the punishment like paying fine or paying total amount of book

you should stick a poster on notice board saying that "the book is missing whoever finds it shall be given a small gift".and if u did not get the book the monitor should be given certain punishment
