we get hurt when we kick a brick,however we can displace it easily without pain when it is pushed gently,why?

because when we hit the brick then we apply some force on it ..
and due to this NEWTONS THIRD LAW APPLYES
HERE...
BUT WHEN WE GENTLY PUSH IT THE BRICK APPLYES FORCE BUT SOME FORCE LOST TO FRICTIONAL FORCE..
