Subject - Brain drain of youngsters


Sir
Through the column of your esteemed newspaper, I wish to draw government's attention towards the continuous Brain drain from our country.  I'm a professor at the Jawaharlal Nehru University and have done PhD in English language. I possess a teaching experience of 7 long years and have come across 9000 students. Among them were toppers of their own districts, states and cities, and we even had sons of corrupt politicians. Well, there was something I found common between all of them. It was that they all wanted to migrate to other countries when they passed out from there.




When I asked them the reason for this action, they claimed that they got better salary in foreign rather than in serving their own nation. They added that the job affirmities were less here, and there was not any demand for human resources. Added to this, was the respect they  sought in residing their own country, which they often did not get because of their low standards. They also complained that the working hours did not keep pace with the wages here, and therefore, they sought to inhabit other nations, where they are well - reputed, well - paid and well - served.




This belief of theirs brings home this very point that the deserved ones are not getting better pay despite their hard work in our own nation, while the other countries are continuously extracting the genius minds and making them their own powers. That isn't fair. This bereaves our sovereign from having expert minds, and hinders the development of the entire nation.



It is a matter of great concern for all of us, and the government accounts to take strict provisions for the protection of these young wizards' minds. That is the only way in which we could have our republic progressed.
Hope you'll consider the same and ask government to take immediate actions towards this issue.
