we have a linear equation 2x + 3y -8= 0 .write another leniar equation in two variables x and y such the geometrical representation of the pair so formed is intersecting lines

2x+3y-8=0

3y=-2x+8

y=(-2/3)x+(8/3)

slope equals m1= (-2/3)

perpendicular lines always intersect at 1 point

slopes of perpendicular lines

m1m2= -1

m2=3/2

hence your equation is

y= (3/2)x+c

2y= 3x+ 2c
