Yes, I completely agree with the given statement. It was rightly proposed by the Brundtland Commission  that ‘it is the moral obligation of the present generation to bequeath the environment in a better condition for the future generation’. It is our responsibility to at least leave a quality of live stock  not less than what we have inherited. This phenomenon of sustainable development can be achieved by:

  1. Shifting our consumption requirements from non renewable sources to renewable source. For example, instead of using thermal power for our energy requirements we can use solar energy, wind energy, etc.
  2. Using cloth bags ins of plastic bags.
  3. Using bicycles for covering short distances.
  4. Doing rain-forest harvesting to save water during rainy season.
  5. Promoting afforestation by planting more trees.
