This statement emphasises on the fact that we should presreve our resources for our future generations. We generally think that we have got our resources for free from our ancestors but the fact is because our ancestors thought of us and preserved resources that's why we are living freely. There for the statement says that "we have got this Earth planet on lease from our future generations and not as an ancestral property from our ancestors."
