The obsession for English culture started in the late 18th Century A.D. when they invaded our country, used great strategies and captured us. The obsession for American culture begins in the late 20th Century A.D. when there was a battle between USA and Russia that the flag of which country would stand on Moon the first. With the launch of Sputnik 1, Russia declared that the battle is on the pace now. Both the country started recruiting engineers and scientists from the world, but the Indians went with Americans as they were familiar with English and here starts the Indian Obsession for America.
Well the obsession has become very strong in the last decade and it is almost impossible to change it but remember like everything that has merits also has demerits, everything that has demerits also has merits. It helps us to communicate in today's world as English is quite popular in the world and it is also one of the easiest languages in the world to learn.
