Everything in excess is bad. One needs to have a nutritionally balanced diet at all times . You need an adequate combination of complex carbohydrates, simple carbohydrates, fiber, fats, proteins , vitamins , minerals and other micro nutrients .
Anything the body cannot digest, it will either store as fat or damage kidneys and liver in the long run , be it protein or vitamins .
So have a good combination of whole grains , vegetables, fruits , some dairy, nuts, ghee, whole seed cold pressed oil. If you are non veg, you can have fresh fish and good quality chicken or lean red meat .
