Initially have Rs. = 100

Spent on day 1 = rs. 40

Balance amount = Rs. 100 - Rs. 40

= Rs. 60

Spent on day 2 = Rs. 30

Balance amount = Rs. 60 =  Rs. 30

= Rs. 30

Spent on day 3 = Rs. 18

Balance amount = Rs. 30 - Rs.18

= Rs. 12

Spent on day 4 = Rs. 12

Balance amount = Rs. 12 - Rs. 12

= 0 Rs.

Answer:

The main confusion this question creates is by adding the per day saving. We can therefore get nearer to the answer by the logic that if we spent 100 we can't get a saving of 102. We'll get 0 as a saving .

See below for the clear answer:

Total amount = 100

Day 1 spent = 40

Day 1 saving = 60

Therefore, we have now 60 rupees to spent on Day 2 :

Day 2 spent = 30

Day 2 saving = 30

Therefore, we have now 30 rupees to spent on Day 3 :

Day 3 spent = 18

Day 3 saving = 12

Therefore, we have now 12 rupees to spent on Day 4 :

Day 4 spent = 12

Day 4 saving = 0

Hence, the logic is that the question is adding the per day saving not the actual saving which we'll get.

Follow this to understand this more clearly

Day 1 saving - Day 2 saving - Day 3 saving - Day 4 saving = 0

60 - 30 - 18 - 12= 0................( i )

Note: The question is adding per day saving to create confusion. Hence, from eq ( i ) we can conclude that the total amout we spent is 100 but the amout we save is 0. Therefore, we can say that we cannot get 102 as a addition of saving because we have nothing left with us as a saving from eq ( i ).

If you got this then you are a self controlable absolutely intelligent guy.....but if you not the you are a 1D10T.
