we have studied that light reflects from smooth surfaces but moon has a roudg surface then why it reflects the light of sun towards earth?? this is my own question. u will not find thisbin a ny textbook

light is also reflected from rough surfaces but in an irregular pattern

light reflects even it is a rough surface
if it is smooth surfsce it is called regular reflection
if it is rough surfce it is called irregular or diffused reflection
