we have two wires of same cross section and same material but one is twice the length of other how will resistance be different

Resistivity is a property of materials, so it has no sense to ask for the resistivity of a wire unless it is implied that you are referring to the resistivity of what is the wire made of.
Resistance is a property of a wire or others objects, so it would be different depending of the material and the dimensions.

No the resistance will not be same!!

The resistance of a material can be calculated by

R=(pL/A)

Resistance = (resistivity x length) / area

[*Length is in meter 
Resistance is in ohms 
cross-sectional area is in meter^2 [ square meter] 
Resistivity is in ohms-meter.
