we know that carbon can join in long seres but we also know that there are many elements but why they cannnot join why also carbon can join? If carbon react to an element to form an compound is this compound powerful or not? An element that can join 8 atom in seres name it element....

carbon is a versatile element with tetra valency hence it can't form any ionic bond it only forms long chains of covalent bonds and this property is known as catenation property of carbon .hence it is a versatile element with a seperating branch of study known as organic chemistry
