Speed of sound in a medium is given by ,
$$v=\sqrt{K/\rho}$$ ,
where $$K=$$ elasticity of medium ,
$$\rho=$$ density of medium ,
therefore ,
or $$v\propto \sqrt{ 1/\rho}$$ ,
as speed of sound is inversely proportional to square root of density of medium , at higher temperature density of the medium decreases hence speed of sound increases therefore sound travels faster at higher temperature of the medium .
