we know that every matter is made up of atoms which has electrons and protons then why dont all material conduct electricity eventhough they have electrons?​

see. All atoms have electrons,but only metals have a large number of free electrons

These conductors absorb energy from surroundings and atoms go into excited state so there are a large number of free electrons in conductors.

Even insulators too have free electrons but very less in number. Thus they are poor conductors of electricity

it's totally a mystery now also ....I don't have exact answer to it..for answering this question we need to think at the quantam level ...more deep topics of physics ..(quarks, strings etc) maybe can give the answer !!
