We know that,
g = GM/R²
=> M = gR²/G.
At the centre of the earth, where R= 0,
M = g × 0/ G = 0/G = 0.
it means that at the centre of the earth, its mass, M = 0.
But, this contradicts the fact that mass of a body never changes, it remains constant everywhere in the universe.
Which is correct then?
At the centre of the earth, is M = 0, or is M = 6 × 10²⁴ kg?
