we know that osmosis is the movement of water molecules from the region of higher concentration to the region of lower concentration. this is responsible for the movement of water from soil to roots.
The concentration of water if less in the soil, then how will the movement take place? If active transport. How?

Explanation:

the first thing is that the plants need water.

even if the water is less in soil, the plants will absorb the remaining water through their soil .

the movement of water here is not with the concentration gradient.
