Answer:

See First of all you've asked a great question. Very original and deep.So kudos to you for this.

And now your answer,,see we use nacl because it is easily available to us in comparison to NaI.And we've been using it for long time in history.

So we use it much. But as you asked why only nacl when iodine is required.

See iodine is required but with nacl is also required by our body. And iodine requirements of our body is quite less which can easily be fulfilled by adding elemental iodine to common salt.

Besides, we making Salts of NaI is a difficult process.Because it is usually found in elemental state in nature. So we have to prepare it separately with all the processes. But NaCl on the other hand is easily obtained from natural sources. It just needs to be refined. So we use it and separately add elemental iodine to it.It becomes a mixture.

Though NaI And even KI are are used but only as medical supplementaries since they have to be prepared in labs separately and it disrupts all economics of industry.

I hope your curiosity is satinated.☺

And I am telling this very honestly that i loved answering your question. It was not some simple question on basic concepts. But you thought over it. It implies that you are really into deep and true learning and acquiring wisdom and knowledge. And not just cramming information like everyone else. You have the capability to link a lot of concepts together and keep your brain and mind open.

And one more thing, I would love to answer more of your such great questions. And I really want to do this.

I mean it in earnest. So please somehow make question reach me. I am new to brainly so i don't how that. can happen but I wish and hope that you can solve my problem now.
