We know that
 {(x + y)}^{2}  =  {x}^{2}  + 2xy +  {y}^{2}
How do we prove that?

its very easy
(x+y)² can be written as (x+y)(x+y)
=x²+xy+xy+y²
=x²+2xy+y²

= x^2 +2xy +y^2
=x^2+xy+xy+y^2
=x(x+y) +y(x+y)
=(x+y)(x+y)
=(x+y)^2 =lhs
