We know that when water is heated it becomes steam and on further cooling it becomes ice. When heated, water particles give energy and move rapidly. By reaching a certain temperature, the particles get so much energy that they break off the force of attraction and become independent and start changing it into gas, which is called boiling of water and is water vapour. The temperature at which the liquid boils at normal pressure is called boiling point. Do note​
