we have technology, so not that much of hard work. science, great inventions make our life more comfortable n luxurious. internet makes everything available within a click. we can know about upcoming disaster phenomenon from media and newspapers and be better prepared than them. we are better protected than them coz we have more advanced weapons and also better clothes that are suited to the climate we live in. better treatment for diseases. so less deaths.

Yes , of couse I agree with the statement that " We lead a better life than our forefathers" because today our world is changing day by day in terms of technology and as well as health care. Due to Technology we can lead a peaceful life (Ex :- Before we were washing clothes with our both hands but today we can wash our clothes in the washing machine by saving our energy too !!). Due to advancement in nutrition and health care - Death rate can be decreased in a particular country ! Today, technology has made a very big change in the education world also . With the invention of technological gadgets and mobile apps which helps students learn easily. Now days you can access a full library via a mobile app on any smart phone or ipad. Before inventing this technology, students had to go to physical libraries to get the information they need. some of these library Apps include. But in early days it was impossible for it ;) Before days if our forefathers want to communicate with each other then they had to walk miles and miles but today due to cellphones we can easily communicate with our friends. !
