We make our own food in the kitchen. So are we autotroph? Justify. ( Hots question)

Autotroph means organisms that produce their own food using components like sun, chlorophyll (already present in the leaves) but when we cook food we r taking raw materials from plants and other sources so we r not autotrophs as we r dependent on other sources as well.

We prepare our own food. But, yet we are heterotrophs and not autotrophs.

Autotrophs are the organisms which prepare their own food in the presence of sunlight with the help of Carbon dioxide and chlorophyll.

But we prepare our food without making use of any of them.

So, we are heterotrophs and not autotrophs.
