When, We Mix Iron Fillings with sulphur and Heat It, A Resulting Brown-Black Compound is being Formed.... This Is a Chemical Change...
Equation for This : Fe + S -------> FeS
That Brown Black color is called, Ferrous Sulphide
Now, Lets Understand, How Its a Chemical change....
Mate, If we mix it with hands only, It will be a mixture and, If we Bring a Magnet near the Mixture, Iron Fillings will get attracted into the magnet
While, If we bring a Magnet near a compound of FeS, Iron doesn't get attracted near the magnet...
Hence, By This, There's a Change in property, Hence, This clearly indicates a chemical change....
The new properties we got [Which indicate a chemical change] :
1) Properties Changed.... {Magnetic Properties, From Yes to No }
2) Change in color {From, Yellow to Brown Black}
3) Change in state {From Power form to Hard solid form}
These changes clearly indicates us a chemical change...
