We need intelligence more than physical strength in a difficult situation . How is it proved from the story The Midnight Visitor .

This could be easily proved by the story of midnight visitor as Ausable being a fat man with rather unspecified and low rated skills of strength did possess a great wit. Even With the unexpected encounter with Max he was quite calm and with in that small chatting lapse of time with Max , Ausable made Max believe into his imaginary balcony and pseudo-police behind the door and made Max jump out of the window from the sixth floor and defeated him. In the whole incident Ausable did not use any of his strength or high tech gadgets like the stereotypical detectives but only his presence of mind and wit which proves that intelligence is more of what we need in a difficult situation than physical strength.
